289: Desire

I fell into a burning ring of fire, I went down down down and the flames went higher, and it burns burns burns, the ring of fire, the ring of fire, the ring of fire.*

A macro of an orange, backlit with a homemade snoot / tube extension mounted onto the SB600.

Did you choose to post this "ring of fire" comment before or after hearing of the Hawaii earthquakes? Or is this sense of significance just in my head? (I'm such a fan of plate techtonics theory.)

But, back to your photo, who could have seen those flames in an orange? You, that's who.

It's a striking image, very compelling.
